The Intrauterine Archives is a celebration of 100 years of intrauterine device evolution. Each piece features fine-line illustrations of historical IUD designs — from Gräfenberg’s 1920s silver ring, to the Lippes Loop of the 1960s, to the early T-Cu shapes that revolutionized modern contraception, to new IUDs being released today. The patterns honor the ingenuity, missteps, breakthroughs, and bold experimentation that shaped reproductive healthcare as we know it today.
10% of profits will go to MSI Reproductive Choices, a global nonprofit providing contraception, safe abortion care, and reproductive health services in more than 30 countries. Through clinics, mobile outreach teams, and community partnerships, MSI expands access to long-acting reversible contraception—including IUDs—for people in underserved and low-resource settings.
